Upon graduation, she returned to LA where she met her future husband, an Israeli traveling after his IDF service. They married and, three years later, Melissa found herself in a suburb of Jerusalem, with two children under two!
While she didn’t have time for performing, music remained a source of comfort and helped her overcome many challenges she faced as an “olah chadashah.” In 2014, she met Adina Feldman through a fellow singer, and the three of them wrote, produced, and performed a Barbra Streisand musical review, “The Three Faces of Barbra.” It debuted at the Jerusalem Arts Festival in 2015.
Melissa has had the privilege of performing with Adina at various venues throughout Israel.
In addition to a BA, Melissa holds an MA in English from the Hebrew University, and is a proud wife and mama to three incredible children.
Melissa Kay was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up in the theatre, performing in dozens of musicals before she moved to New York to study at Columbia University. While at Columbia, she continued to pursue her love of performing in campus productions, her favorite being Amanda in Tennessee William’s “The Glass Menagerie.”
