Riva Schertzman is a popular keyboard accompanist and performer for women's theatre and music events, Riva has performed music in the US, England, Canada and Israel.  Her women's duo known as "Riva & Aviva" performed all over Israel, especially cheering up women and girls in communities in Judea and Samaria after terror attacks.  This included performing in Gush Katif right before the expulsion. They produced two successful original CD's known as "Shout for Joy" and "Generations of Tears."

Later, inspired by the need to calm people down after the Intifada in Israel, Riva created two relaxation instrumental CD's known as "Gentle Waves" and "Gentle Waves 2."

Riva served as an accompanist to the Raise Your Spirits production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and has performed with them as a singer.

She received her degree in music composition with a second field in computer science at the University at Albany, learning composition under the opera composer Leonard Kastle. Having a good understanding of applications programming enabled her to use music software to help create arrangements for her original songs and for several other musicians.

With her desire to heal, as she does through music and theatre, Riva added the study of Classical Homeopathy to her repertoire and was admitted into the Israel Association of Classical Homeopathy.
