Myra Gutterman, originally from Northern California, has been seriously involved with water and the Arts (though not necessarily together) for over 50 years. She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Dramatic Literature from Scripps College, CA, and an M.A. in Jewish Studies/Education from Touro College, Jerusalem. She has also been involved in improvisational theatre, stand-up comedy, and stage management.

Myra is a much sought-after swimming teacher in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion. The original concept of The Mikva Monologues was Myra’s, more than 12 years ago. This is why she began this project.
She invited Toby to join her and over time it morphed into Mikva the Musical. Myra lives in Jerusalem.
